How can viewing my account balance help me?

Logging into your account regularly will allow you to stay on track so that you can reach a future that is financially secure and healthy.

  1. Tracking your debt counselling payments

As consumers, we all want peace of mind, knowing exactly where our money is going on a monthly basis.

Viewing your account balances online allows you to keep track of your debt repayments, your total amount paid to date and your total outstanding debt, so that you remain updated and informed whenever you choose.

By clicking on your accounts, you can view your individual balances with specific accounts and the total amounts paid into that account, to date, which can help you plan ahead for the upcoming month.

  1. Settle smaller balances with your bonus or spare cash

You can settle smaller balances, using your 13th cheque or bonus, which can help you become debt free in a shorter amount of time and help you plan and assess your finances accordingly.

Knowing that you have small account balances can help you forecast how much of your spare cash you can put aside to pay the account in full, rather than spending on unnecessary items.

Settling accounts will save you money in the long term because you will save on interest charges for that account as well.

  1. Stay up to date with your credit score

Staying up to date with your credit score is one of the keys to a brighter financial future. By checking your score regularly:

  1. You will get a better understanding of how your credit score works.

  2. You will know about the changes in your score.

  3. You will be able to ensure that there are no errors or instances of fraud.

  4. You will have more control over your score.

  5. You will have a good idea of your financial health.

  6. Keep accountable and stay on track with your debt counselling journey

Debt counselling can be a long process, and it’s not always an easy one. But staying motivated is important, because if you miss payments you will lose your progress and will have to go back to paying it back normally, without all the benefits of debt counselling.

Seeing your progress on your dashboard is a great motivator, it shows how far you’ve come and all the great work you’ve done to secure your financial future. View it and remember why you started!
