What is DebtBusters?
Debt Busters is one of South Africa's largest Debt Management business. The business is wholly focused on resolving debt problems of individuals across South Africa.
Debt Busters differs from other South African debt companies with the range of services we offer to provide a solution to the individual's debt problems. This ranges from Debt Counselling as under the National Credit Act 2007, to informal Debt Management where we negotiate with credit providers on the client's behalf. We provide on-going assistance and advice to our clients over however many years it takes to get that individual out of debt.
Qualified DebtBusters consultants don't just focus on the debt obligations, but provide help and advice in getting to the root cause of the debt problem - lowering expenses to live within the individual's means. This is why all applications start with the budget and the consultant will examine how we can save you additional funds across all financial services products.
We also offer Corporate Solutions for employers with indebted staff members. An indebted staff results in low morale and poor productivity.
Our staff is qualified with either FAIS, NCR and/or FSB. All consultants have attended the NCR accredited debt counselling course.
How is it funded?
DebtBusters is a privately owned and managed business and is part of the IDM Group of companies. For more information please visit www.intelligentdebtgroup.co.za. DebtBusters is financed through fees paid for its services by individual consumers. DebtBusters has no links, ownership or bias by or towards Credit Providers.
Why do people get into debt?
- Clients may easily be able to afford their debts and credit commitments until there is an unforeseen change in circumstances. Separation, unemployment and sickness are the main triggers for debt problems.
- Clients may also trigger a debt problem through over-committing themselves, e.g. by entering into credit agreements that they then realise they cannot afford.
- Clients who are financially and socially excluded, either in low-paid work and/or in receipt of means-tested welfare benefits can easily find themselves in unmanageable debt situations.
