For the seventh time, DebtBusters was named the Best National Debt Counsellor at the annual Debt Review awards, which took place on September 30th 2022. This is the ninth year the awards have run.
The annual event, hosted by DebtFree Magazine, is held with the aim to acknowledge and reward outstanding work in the debt counselling industry.
This is truly a testament to the hard work that all our people put in, day in and day out. It shows that our commitment to helping people reduce debt stress is paying off.
Accepting the award, Benay Sager, Head of DebtBusters said the awards come at a time when the dual pressures of inflation and rising interest rates are piling pressure on already financially stress consumers.
“For the foreseeable future many, many more South Africans will need help to navigate the fallout from the Covid-19 pandemic and sluggish economic grown which is now being compounded by interest rate and inflationary pressures.

The Debt Review Awards are an industry wide programme open to any participant registered with the National Credit Regulator. Payment distribution agencies, more than 2 500 debt counsellors and over 5 000 registered credit providers participate and share their feedback on the performance of their peers though an online peer-review system.
