Here's a reminder about the competition:

Understand the T's and C's before you enter!

Below are the terms and conditions for the South African Police Service Staff Debt Counselling Competition:

Eligibility:

1.1 The South African Police Service Staff Debt Counselling Competition (hereinafter referred to as "the Competition") is open only to active and current employees of the South African Police Service who sign up for debt counselling services with DebtBusters, through the advertisement link in the Servamus Magazine advertisement.

Automatic Entry:

2.1 By signing up for debt counselling through the specified advertisement link in Servamus Magazine, participants will be automatically entered into the lucky draw pool.

Competition Period:

3.1 The Competition commences on 1 October 2023 and ends on 31 July 2024.

Winner Selection:

4.1 The winner will be selected from the pool of entries who have fully paid their debt counselling fees for the first three months of their debt counselling programme.

4.2 The winner will be chosen by random draw, which will take place within 10 days after the end of the Competition Period.

Notification of Winner:

5.1 The winner will be notified by phone call using the contact information provided during the debt counselling sign-up process.

5.2 If the winner cannot be reached after reasonable attempts within 7 days, a new winner may be selected through a second random draw.

Prize Allocation:

6.1 The prize consists of R30,000 (South African Rand) and will be allocated to the winner's outstanding debt as reported to the debt counselling service.

6.2 The prize money will be used solely for the purpose of reducing the winner's outstanding debt and will be transferred directly to the debt counselling service provider for this purpose.

General Conditions:

7.1 Participation in the Competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

7.2 The winner may be required to provide proof of eligibility, identity, and employment status as an active South African Police Service staff member.

7.3 The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other form of compensation.

7.4 Any attempt by a participant to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Competition may be a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, the organizers reserve the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.

7.5 The organizers reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Competition at any time without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to technical reasons or if fraud or misconduct is suspected.

7.6 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa.

By participating in the South African Police Services Staff Debt Counselling Competition, participants agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions and all decisions made by the organizers, which shall be final and binding.
